Biography

A warrior who will take poisonous kisses and dangerous paths — and still walk out the other side victorious.

Susule Sule was born in Ul'dah, youngest of her siblings, Dunesfolk through and through. Even as a child she could beat kids years older than her; her small frame made enemies underestimate her, and she used that as advantage. She defended everyone from bullies — sometimes more than one at a time — until a soldier pulled her out of a fight, saw the prodigy under the scrapes, and told her to fight fair. The lesson stuck. The hunger for the fight did too.

She enlisted in the Maelstorm for glory at first. A high rank on a young age, she was a very good asset. On paper she is a Maelstorm officer. In practice she is something closer to a secret agent enlisted in enemy territory and using her age as camouflage, who would know that a 15 year old was a highly capable agent. Her missions were following enemy orders — assassinations, captures, recoveries, the kind of work that lives in glances and unwritten orders. She has learned that power is not only muscle. She plans, lead and strikes missions meant to end with corpses. Reputation followed: the little Lalafell who finishes the job. She started to drink after the missions, with whoever was with her, they were risking their life and had to share the moment even with her enemies.

She was a double agent "spying" on the Immortal Flames and met Aline Masiosare the ordinary way that becomes destiny — a street fight, Aline watching, and then the two lonely kids started to talk. They also started training and with contact, shyness and blushing emerged. A crush that never learned to be quiet in Susule's heart. Years later, on a mission, Susule uncovered plots sold as “for the good of the people”. She put a written report on her superior’s desk with murder in the silence between them, answered nothing, and went to drink. Those pages held the thread that would name the Immortal Flames as responsible for Ririyuno’s death.

She found Aline while still in service and told her everything — knowing jail or execution for leaking confidences was on the table. She would rather die than become a traitor for her real friends. Aline answered with anger, pushed her away, then the road pulled them together again. In one hard scene Susule forgot the crush for a moment and said what a soldier says when survival training is being spat on: the deathwish was not bravery. It was escape. Friendship held. Love stayed Susule’s, mostly unanswered. She confessed; she was rejected; she can live as friend. It is not her ultimate goal. It is still her ultimate dream.

What she wants in the long view is glory and a peaceful life. The path there is hard, and she knows people want her dead. Until then: one more beer, one more mission, steel in hand, and listening to metal is what keeps her in good mood.

Prankster

Beer and a soldier’s mean streak of humor. She needles, jokes, and gets the job done sideways when the straight line is stupid. The prankster is how the agent breathes between missions.

Soft under armor

Stutters near Aline. Blushes in training holds. Misses her mother’s cooking when the mess hall tastes like metal. The armor is real; so is the seam.

Loyal

Not loyal to clean paperwork. Loyal to people she chooses — Aline’s safety above the system that will not change. She will burn a career before she becomes the kind of soldier who abandons her own.
